To the unfamiliar, the Santa Cruz mountains are known to be haunted. The Native American Indians knew this and spoke of the "tiny tree spirits" and "little wish-granters" for ages. The fae spirits relished and delighted in these gifts and showed themselves to whoever came to visit them.
